This new Sega racing game features your favorite characters from the worlds of Sonic the Hedgehog and Sega. In a battle to be the first to the finished line, Sonic and his friends speed around tracks set in medieval castle ramparts, lush rainforests, and bustling cities. Fan favorite characters such as: Dr. Eggman, Tails, AiAi, Amigo and many more join Sonic in vehicles unique to each character. Every character has different vehicles ranging from cars, planes, motorbikes, and even a banana mobile! There are secret short cuts that can be learned in order to give you that extra edge in the competiiton.
Not only are the modes of transportation unique to each individual, but each character has a specific All-Star move that allows you to get back into the race quicker. Power ups and weapons can also be collected around the tracks and used against your enemies if they get too close to the finish line.
You can race in a single player mode against the computer or against your friends in the multiplayer mode. The multiplayer mode allows up to four players to race using a split-screen. You can also compete online against seven other players.split-screen action, or up to eight players to compete online in the ultimate racing showdown.
